I grew up outside of San Antonio. When my family moved to Indiana, Pappasito’s was one of the things that I missed the most from living in Texas.

Pappasito’s always boasts that their fajitas are famous. They’re not kidding. In fact, this is an understatement.

If I was on death row and I was asked what I wanted for my last meal, I would reply (without hesitation) “a Del Mar from Pappasito’s”. (Del Mar = Chicken Fajitas and Camarones–bacon wrapped, grilled jumbo shrimp with cheese and pepper), served with a garlic butter sauce that is to die for.

While I can rave about the Del Mar, I can rave about anything at Pappasito’s. Their salsa is warm and very tasty. Their queso is amazing. Their tortillas are always freshly made and delicious.

I’ve been going to Pappasito’s for well over a decade, and I have yet to have a meal that was anything short of stellar there.

One more thing: If you like Pappasito’s, also make sure to try Uncle Julio’s. It’s the only restaurant I’ve ever been to that Pappasito’s can really even be compared to.
